Live Oak II partners with Denham Capital
HOUSTON, TEXAS – Live Oak Resource Partners II, LLC (Live Oak II), a subsidiary of Live Oak Resource Partners, announced the closing of an equity commitment from global private equity firm Denham Capital. The partnership will enable Live Oak II to focus on the aggregation of royalty and mineral acquisitions.
“We are thrilled to team up with Denham, an experienced and disciplined energy investor with deep knowledge in our areas of focus,” said President and Chief Financial Officer Andrew Keene. “This investment serves as recognition of the early success of our first fund, but more importantly it creates a strategic relationship that goes far beyond capital.”
Headquartered in Houston, the company is led by Keene and Vice President of Land and Business Development Brandon Meyers. Both co-founded Live Oak Resource Partners in 2014 and prior to that worked in banking and the energy industry.
“Live Oak II will remain focused on our existing strategy of aggregating natural gas weighted royalty and mineral interests,” added Meyers. “We continue to see solid deal flow, and with Denham’s equity commitment and other resources we will be able to fully capitalize on the attractive opportunities available in the market currently.”
“We’re excited about our new partnership with the Live Oak team,” shared Geer Blalock, Denham Capital Managing Director. “Their entrepreneurial approach and established platform provides a strong foundation for a long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationship.”
