Trace Capital partners with Sabre Energy in the Marcellus

Sabre Energy Partners (“Sabre Energy”) today announced an equity commitment from investment funds managed by Trace Capital Management (“Trace”).  

Headquartered in Dallas, Sabre Energy is pursuing an acquisitions and development strategy in the Appalachian Basin to grow its existing footprint of 20k net acres, 34 mmcf/d of production and 100-miles of gas gathering in Pennsylvania. Sabre Energy is led by Marcia Simpson, Phil Flores and Jeff Nelson, a team with extensive experience in the Appalachian Basin, including the drilling and completion of more than 500 Marcellus Shale wells and managing production operations in excess of 1 Bcf/d. Prior to forming Sabre Energy, management operated in Appalachia while at Chief Oil and Gas, Chesapeake (now Expand Energy NASDAQ: EXE) and Exco Resources.
